Innovation in trauma care
Welcome to Living Lab Neurosurgery, a non-profit organization dedicated to advancing innovation in pre-hospital trauma care.
With years of experience in trauma care, critical care, emergency care, and patient-centered research, we are uniquely positioned to positively impact patient outcomes.
Why LLN?
Neuroplasticity
The name Living Lab Neurosurgery is a metaphor for the term neuroplasticity. For a long time it was thought that if brain cells were damaged by an accident or CVA, for example, they could never recover, resulting in a loss of function in the body. Research has shown that the brain has the ability to create new connections between neurons (brain cells). This allows the brain to reorganize itself, resulting in the recovery of bodily functions. This process is called neuroplasticity. Living Lab Neurosurgery makes the connections between all chain partners to offer solutions and come up with innovative ideas for acute trauma care.
